Baton Rouge,LA, daughter Jane's home

First stop on my 4 month long 'summer of 2005' journey---and it's almost over! But I didn't get my new camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ15) my first digital) until my birthday(COMPLETE SURPRISE) thus couldn't begin the recording and posting of this journey until now. We had to order, and receive, it first!!

The Baton Rouge leg celebrated many special occasions: 3 birthdays (mine, Jane's and Daniel's) a high school graduation and singing lead in HS production of 'Beethovan's Last Night', a Trans-Siberian Orchestra musical play (Nora, Jane's youngest) and Daniel (Jane's eldest, an LSU senior) departure for Argentina--just for 3 months/summer. Lots of photo 'opps'.

Also Jane is quite a garden enthusiast---her plantings reflect this--and a new 'hummingbird' or 'hummer' lady, so her choices reflect these interests too. Since I too am a garden enthusiast, many of my photos show both our interests--some in great detail!
