Great Lakes, beginning with Lake Superior

Always wanted to see, but never managed it while living in MI. It's quite a ways from the middle of the state, where I lived. Copper Harbor was to be the capitol of MI, at one point, but the copper mines were competing with the Detroit industries and Detroit won. The town is on Lake Superior at the western-most end of the upper peninsula, jutting into the lake. Even in August, it's a quiet little town--no supermarkets or malls--and small enuf to walk everywhere. Friendly people, simple life. Wasn't there long enuf to take the day boat out to the nature preserve on Isle Royale but shot some pics of the boat and harbor. ENJOY
