Soo Locks, across Mackinac Bridge to Mackinac Island

Driving across the 5 mile long Mackinac Bridge, it was raining. And most of the time I was on The Island, rain showers continued. But my fascination with Mackinac Island is long-standing. Crossing to the island, I went by Jet Boat--fun trip, even in the rain. I took a horse-drawn carriage tour of the island and visited the butterfly house--which is new. And, of course, visited the Grand Hotel--what visit to the island would be complete without it! When I first visited, in the 70's, more was free and there weren't as many tourists--even touring the Grand has a price tag now!
