As is very visible, in the shot with Stewart [upper left], Mte St Helens was hidden--very dissappointing for him--but by comparison with my 2005 shots, this is what he would have seen. Except--the cone [center of upper right and lower center pics] had, May 29th, 3 days before we arrived, vanished!!--a new eruption had occurred!! once again proving the volcano very much alive--and constantly changing. Even the rangers hadn't seen a clear pic of it yet--weather obscuring everyones view. Too bad for Stewart[and me] to not be able to see this new crater!!
