Tuzigoot National Monument--home of the Tuzigoot peoples for several hundred years and, like Mesa Verde in CO, was abandoned in the early 1400's. Why?? Many theories--they too had overgrown their Pueblo with increasd population and, with the increase in visiting 'Traders' bringing 'goods' but most importantly, information, they realized other friendly peoples lived --relatively--nearby.
