This is 'Friday Harbor', our destination for the passengers that weren't going out whale watching with us. We had time to get lunch or walk around, not both, so most of us purchased food to take out on the boat. Then an ice cream break after we got back, from the whales, and before we left on the return trip to Bellingham. A nice treat but sorry there was no time to explore the Friday Harbor and Island itself, without staying overnight( which many were doing--with residents or camping or? whatever).
