This is Pioneer Square, original center of downtown Seattle--after it was rebuilt, after the fire of 1889 --yes FIRE--that destroyed all of the original wooden buildings. Needless to say, they rebuilt with brick. This square is where we waited to leave on the 90 minute Underground Tour.
